Volt
WhatsApp Superpowers. Keyboard shortcuts, voice-note transcription, scheduling, workspaces, for people who run their world on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is the most-used software in LatAm and one of the worst-designed for power users. Volt is the IDE on top: keyboard-first, voice-note-to-text, message scheduling, workspace organization. They don’t replace WhatsApp. They make it 4x faster.
Why I backed it
Tool for a clear archetype. Volt is built for founders, account managers, freelancers and recruiters: people with a phone full of client chats. The kind of user who’d pay $20/month to save four hours a week without thinking about it. That’s a clean willingness-to-pay.
Privacy as moat. Local processing. No Volt server sees your chats. Zero data retention with AI providers. Most WhatsApp tools leak data by design. “We literally cannot read your messages” wins with exactly the users who run confidential conversations through WhatsApp every day.
Productivity tools have margin. Selling to professionals who measure their time in money. Different unit economics from selling to teenagers or SMBs.
The bet
WhatsApp keeps eating workflow tools (calendar, CRM, Slack-replacement) in LatAm + Southern Europe. The power-user layer is a real category, not a feature. Volt is positioned to own it.
